About TePe

TePe is a Swedish company founded in the year of 1965. It began as a small family-owned company that later expanded into a top manufacturer of oral hygiene products. TePe works in cooperation with certified dental experts to ensure that the oral hygiene products they develop and make available to their customers are high quality and functional.

TePe began with Henning Eklund, a wood-carver who developed a new kind of dental stick after working with professors from the School of Dentistry in Malmo in 1965. What was revolutionary about this dental stick was that it was triangular in shape, allowing it to fit in the spaces between the teeth. Several years later in 1973, his son decided to follow in his footsteps by expanding the business into manufacturing toothbrushes.

In the early 1900s, TePe made another innovation by developing the interdental toothbrush. This toothbrush quickly became their leading and best-selling product. Today, more than one-fourth of all the toothbrushes bought in Sweden are manufactured by TePe. TePe products are shipped and sold in over 60 countries worldwide. The company TePe has remained under the ownership and leadership of the Eklund family.
