Dry mouth is a dental condition when the mouth does not produce enough saliva. Because of this, the mouth can become dry and that is usually when a person experiences thirst. Also known as xerostomia, dry mouth is a common condition that can affect a large number of people. People who have a dry mouth often feel thirsty, can have dry, cracked lips, and also bad breath.

Causes of dry mouth

Natural remedies for dry mouth

Simply drinking water can help to alleviate dry mouth. Since salivary production can be dependent on the amount of water consumed, by drinking more water, dry mouth can be addressed. Chewing on gum or candies can also help stimulate salivary production. By doing so dry mouth can be addressed. Lastly, oral rinses can also help to stimulate saliva production. They can also help combat bad breath, which is also shown to be a condition associated with dry mouth.
