Proctosedyl suppositories is for the treatment of haemorrhoids and other associated anorectal conditions.
Directions
Insert 1 suppository into the rectum up to 3 times daily. For rectal use only.
Ingredients
Each gram contains:
Hydrocortisone 5mg, and Cinchocaine hydrochloride 5mg.
Inactive ingredients include liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin and wool fat.
Warnings
- Do not use for more than 7 days unless a doctor has told you to.
- Do not use Proctosedyl if you have experienced an allergic reaction with hydrocortisone or cinchocaine hydrochloride, or with any of the other ingredients.
- Do not use Proctosedyl when infections affecting the anus or surrounding area are present e.g. sexually-transmitted diseases such as herpes.
- Do not use Proctosedyl if you have tuberculosis. Some diseases can be made worse by using Proctosedyl.
- Do not give Proctosedyl to children under 12 years of age.
